Where Curiosity Blooms & Everyone Belongs

Squamish, BC

Who we are

We are two outdoor educators and dear friends who dream of a community which fosters curiosity and creativity in children. Our experiences throughout our careers has inspired us to start an outdoor learning community which is guided by Land-based, decolonial, feminist, and inclusive ideologies.

We are currently in the process of becoming a licensed childcare provider for 3 to 5 year old children. We are searching for a rental home to operate a Family Child Care program. Want more info about Family Child Care? Click below!

What do we do during our time Together?

We believe in play-based exploration and are ultimately guided by the children’s interests. We also curate experiences/provocations/activities with their direct input.

Some potential opportunities include:

  • Fairy-themed creations - fairy house building, make your own fairy wings and magic wands, solar printing, tea parties, potion-making, flower preservation and art, origami, kirigami, needle-felting, papier-mâché, forest play, and lots of jumping to get the flying effect:)

  • Yoga and Regulation- Yoga, beadwork, Play-based breath work, vestibular play, weaving, fidget toys, and calming environment

  • Music- Drumming (tongue-drum, rain drum, etc.), singing, ukulele, bells, and any thing else that can make interesting noises

  • Sensory- slime, water play, bubbles, potion-making, ooblek, baking, creek play, and vestibular play
